2009-2010 Information
***** Congrats to the ENTIRE team for a successful season. Thought the record didn't reflect all of the terrific performance that you had made, each of you contributed!
***** Well done to our 3 seniors! With your peers always being the toughest to please, our 3 seniors showed up and played extremely well. Each of them represented the Panthers on different teams and had the chance to face each other across the net for some exciting matches at the Division All Star match. Well played, and I'm very proud of each of you!
***** Everyone is reminded to turn in their jerseys to Coach Farnum. Academic reports are held until accounts are settled, so please wrap this issue up quickly!
** Train well in the off-season. That means get out for at least 20 minutes each day of extended heart rates (not including scary movies). Below is a link to one of the many sites that provide good training programs.

Congrats to those who showed up for tryouts to travel club volleyball. Below are some of the local teams and programs available. Participation in any of these is NOT mandatory nor will it provide any favorable consideration for high school athletics, as each of these programs are mutually exlusive. However, for those that wish to consider approximately six months of dedicated volleyball and the expected gains in both skills and confidence that such an experience is likely to provide, you are invited to any of these (and other) programs available to you. Note: you must first register within the region on www.chrva.org. Individual programs will then have their schedules posted for tryouts.

We'd also like to thank those parents that have been helping out with the concession stand. As always, Nana is an all-American when it comes to support in putting the concession stand in the works... However, for all the help, thank you to each!
A HUGE "mahalo" ("thank you" in Hawai'ian) to Vonnie Hughey for putting out the following newsletters!
Because many of you have asked me about building off-season workouts, I've enclosed a site that helps to tailor a workout just for you! There are MANY sites that do this, and when we get into the season, I can help you develop one. However, this is an example of the types of exercises that will directly help out with this sport.

(On this site, Join and then make a profile for yourself by answering a few questions about where you are physically. Be honest, as this is what builds your program! Next, select the sports specific program of Volleyball. If you need to see a video of how to do the exercise, either click the Go! button next to the 'Fitness Info' dropdown widget or surf places like Google Video. Again...LOTS of info out there; I just like this site because you can tailor it to you...for free!)
